You will read another excerpt from Plato’s “Allegory of the Cave” and answer the text-based questions that follow. This means that the answers to the questions are found in the reading, so use your close reading skills to read the text multiple times and analyze the excerpt.

  2. As you read, look for questioning techniques and intended meaning. In other words, look for words and phrases that may have meaning beyond what you see on the surface.
